Love salmon burgers, but intimidated to make them at home? I was, too. But you don’t have to be. Homemade salmon burgers are easy and so tasty. This is a great way to mix up and lighten up your burger routine. You can customize the flavors however you like, too.

1 pound fresh salmon, cut into big chunks
2 Tbsn Dijon mustard
1/4 yellow onion chopped
Zest of 1 lemon
Salt and pepper
Herbs (I used dill, and garlic powder)<

1. Take 1/4 of the salmon and combine it with the lemon zest, onion and mustard in a food processor.  Puree until the mixture is smooth.  Remove from food processor and put it in a mixing bowl.
2. Add the remaining salmon to the food processor and pulse 3-5 times until coarsely chopped. Fold the salmon into the pureed mixture along with the other seasonings. Mix just until combined.
3. Form into 1/3-1/4 pound patties and chill in fridge until ready to cook.  Cook for 3 minutes on each side and serve on your favorite buns with your favorite toppings.
