A: Veganism is a lifestyle choice that takes into account far more than just nutrition. From solely a nutrition perspective though, it’s not the most nutritionally sound way to go. Primarily, it’s very difficult to get enough vitamin B12, so supplementation is almost always warranted. If you choose to be vegan for moral, environmental or ethical reasons, great – do you. Just make sure to educate yourself or get professional advice about what foods to include to obtain the appropriate vitamins and minerals.
