Q: What’s the best way to lose weight quickly?

A: Whoa, whoa, whoa. Hold your horses. Why do you want to lose weight so quickly? Is it really worth it when you gain back the weight and more in just a couple weeks or months? Think hard about this! I had a client come to me after dieting leading up to her wedding. She ended up gaining literally 22 pounds in the 6 weeks after her wedding. Fast weight loss is almost always NOT the way to go as it leads to serious regret. That being said, the most effective way to drop weight quickly is to decrease your calories and cut out carbohydrates. You will notice weight loss along with serious cravings, low energy and most likely mood swings too. Most people who go this route end up binging big time and regaining the weight. Again, think hard about your motives when it comes to quick weight loss.
