Marija is a Registered Dietitian based out of Denver, CO.  Her love for nutrition, wellness, and fitness began in middle school.  Marija quickly realized that she performed better on the soccer field and in the swimming pool when she was eating whole, nutritious foods.  The first thing she did when she received her Seventeen magazine in the mail each month was cut out the recipes and workouts section and add them to her growing collage.  Where some girls had boy band posters, Marija had a montage of health and wellness information, tips, and tricks. 

Marija now holds Bachelor’s Degrees from Indiana University Bloomington in Dietetics and in Spanish Language and Literature and is a fluent Spanish-speaker.  She completed her dietetic internship of 1200+ hours of supervised practice through Ball State University through which she is also remotely completing her Master of Science in Nutrition and Dietetics.  Marija is a Registered Dietitian, and therefore is an expert in nutrition from both a scientific perspective and a practical one.    

Marija takes a very individualized, consultative approach to working with people.  As a first-generation American, she welcomes the way different cultures influence our eating habits.  She has an extensive background in client-facing positions before and within her career as a dietitian.  Her communication style is straight forward, patient, understanding, and concise. Marija led the Ultimate Frisbee team at Indiana University as captain and worked as a Strength and Conditioning Consultant with Indiana University.  She now teaches high-intensity spin classes in Denver. Her combination of nutrition expertise with hands-on experience in competitive and recreational sports can help an individual at any activity level reach their health goals. She understands the value in allowing her clients to voice what their specific goals are.  She combines her expertise with developed motivational coaching techniques and strategies to help each individual achieve those goals.  

  Marija isn’t married to one specific diet or style of eating.  She emphasizes incorporating into the diet real foods that are sustainably produced with minimal ingredients to achieve overall wellness.  She understands that each individual has a unique set of needs and responds differently than the next person, which means that no single nutrition plan is appropriate for everyone.  Marija hopes to build on her existing nutrition knowledge by staying up-to date with current evidence-based nutrition to ensure that she continues to provide best-in-class nutrition consultation to all of her clients.
